Face to Face in Europe at Amex 2019

I enjoyed a whirlwind trip to Frankfurt, London and southern Ireland this spring. The first stop in Frankfurt was to attend IMEX. This was a fantastic opportunity to meet face to face with many of our wonderful partners from around the world and to make new connections.
I then spent a few days in London touring this vibrant city, seeing many of hotels, different neighborhoods and sites. I knew that hotels in London tend to be small, but I was surprised how different US expectations differ from what is available in London. Juggling luggage and personal belongings can be a challenge. If groups can stay west of the city and utilize public transportation, the Lancaster Gate is an excellent option. It is offered at a reasonable price and keeps them close to Heathrow and is a charming neighborhood. In just a few minutes, one can pop down to Covert Garden to enjoy a pint in a raucous pub or to Piccadilly to enjoy a play. I sawBook of Mormonand had a blast.
While I toured Southern Ireland, I only endured only one day of rain (so heavy we could only see 10 feet in front of the car)! The coast is awe inspiring and reminds me of California but with terrifyingly narrow roads to maneuver, ancient relics, charming pubs and lambs that required me to scoot them out of the road and back in the direction of home. I then wound up the trip in Dublin for a day enjoying wonderful food, strolling through Trinity College and window shopping.
Can’t wait to head out on a new adventure.
