Costa Rica - Adventure

DAY 1 THU   USA / SAN JOSE COSTA RICA / GUANACASTE (D)

Your flight from USA, bound for San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Welcome to Costa Rica! After clearing customs and immigrations, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Your guide will assist you with the check-in, give you a briefing on the hotel located 25 minutes from the airport in Guanacaste.

DAY 2 FRI   GUANACASTE (B, L, D)

Today is at leisure to enjoy the beaches of Guanacaste.  There are also various optional tours that you can take to the surrounding areas.

DAY 3 SAT   MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK (B)

Manuel Antonio national Park (full day excursion)  
Covering an area of just 683 hectares, Manuel Antonio National Park preserves not only beautiful beaches but also mangroves, a setting of islands offshore, humid tropical forest and precious wildlife.  Visitors to the park have the chance to relax and enjoy the white-sand beach, walk in the trails, and observe an abundat birdlife and a variety of animals, like monkeys, racoons, iguanas and sloths. From the park’s entrance to the beach where we spend the day there is a trail of approximately 600m. It is also possible to walk along the beach. There are showers and toilettes in the park.


DAY 4 SUN  GUANACASTE (B, L)

Water Falls Canopy Tour (full day)  
How can you get a really close up look at nature, and at the same time have a thrill of a lifetime? This is the tour that lets you roam around the treetops, giving you a “Birds Eye View” of the tropical forest. Glide from platform to platform on the special system of steel cables with the use of professional climbing gear. The 13 platforms are high above the forest floor, 45-100 feet, and the 7-cable range from 60-400 feet! The canopy includes a slide, Tarzan swing, rappel and 3-story tree house. Each trip between the different platforms is a unique experience in itself, a challenge to your spirit and sense of adventure. The Canopy Adventure is located in the mountainous forest area and it’s a home for an abundant population of birds and wildlife. Specialized guides, who introduce the various elements of the tour to make it a truly memorable experience, accompany the tour.

DAY 5 MON   PUNTARENAS (B, D)

Tortuga Island Cruise ( full day)  
In the morning, transfer from the hotel to the nearby port of Puntarenas. Once there, board the Mantarraya Catamaran and cruise the island-studded Gulf of Nicoya for a delightful trip to Tortuga Island. Participants enjoy sun bathing in the beautiful white-sand beach and swimming in the ocean. A delicious buffet lunch is served under the shade of palm trees on the island.  The return to the hotel will be in the late afternoon.

Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 6 TUE  SAN JOSE/ USA (B)

After breakfast, you will be met and transferred back to San Jose and the International airport. Arrive USA the same day.
